Learn Dutch: Vind jij de thee heerlijk? - Do you find the tea delicious?

Normally, the verb form for "you" gets a -t at the end (as in jij vindt). But there is a special rule for questions! When the verb comes right before jij or je, that -t is dropped. So jij vindt turns into vind jij.

Where is the word for "do" in this question?

Dutch doesn't use a helper word like "do" to make a question. Instead, it just swaps the order of the verb and the subject. To turn the statement jij vindt (you find) into a yes/no question, you simply put the verb first: Vind jij? (Do you find?).

Could I say Vind je instead of Vind jij?

Yes! Je is the normal, unstressed word for "you", and jij is the emphasized version. You use jij here if you want to stress the "you" (for example, "Do you find it delicious? Because I don't!"). If you aren't emphasizing it, Vind je de thee heerlijk? is perfectly fine and very common.

Can I use vinden to mean "think" or "feel" about something?

Exactly! Just like the English verb "to find", the Dutch verb vinden can mean physically locating something, but it is heavily used to express an opinion. "Do you find the tea delicious?" is the standard way to ask "Do you think the tea is delicious?".
