Questions & Answers about Autor nije napisao objašnjenje, niti instalacija ima naslov.
Why is the verb ima (has) in the affirmative form, even though it follows the negative conjunction niti?
Why is the perfective verb napisao used here instead of the imperfective pisao?
The sentence refers to a specific, completed result, or in this case, the lack of one. The author failed to produce a finished explanation. If you used the imperfective nije pisao, it would sound like he wasn't in the process of writing or never used to write at all.
Both objašnjenje (explanation) and naslov (title) are direct objects. Why haven't their dictionary endings changed?
They are both in the accusative case, but their forms happen to match their nominative forms. Objašnjenje is a neuter noun, and naslov is an inanimate masculine noun. For both of these categories, the accusative case is always identical to the nominative.
Does instalacija refer to installing software or equipment here?
It can mean that in technical contexts, but the mention of an autor (author) and a naslov (title) strongly suggests this is about an art installation (a three-dimensional work of art designed to transform a space).
