Prepositions of Accordance
To state that an action is done in accordance with specific criteria—such as sorting recycling by material—use the prepositions حسب or بحسب. Both mean "according to" or "depending on" and are used interchangeably.
They function as prepositions, meaning the noun that immediately follows them must take the genitive case.

Using Accordance with Verbs (حسبما)
To express that something was done "according to what" someone said or "as" a rule dictates, use حسبما.
Attaching the particle ما to the preposition transforms it into a conjunction, allowing it to connect directly to a verbal clause.
