Lesson 172: Common expressions: modal adverbials
In this lesson, you will learn frequently used expressions. All of these function as an adverb, even though they may look like verbs, nouns, or full sentences. These adverbs usually convey the utterer's stance towards the statement, whether they're grateful, they're certain or not, or the politeness of saying that statement.
