### One Little Word: de

**De** (too, also) adds "me too / that too" to any sentence. It follows the word it belongs to and obeys two-way vowel harmony, just like the plural **-lar/-ler**:

### A Separate Word — Not the Locative!

You just learned the locative suffix **-de/-da** (in, on, at). The "too" word looks identical but is **written separately** — and the space changes the meaning completely: *evde* = "in the house", but *ev de* = "the house, too". Even native writers mix these up!

### It Never Becomes -te/-ta

One more difference from the locative: after voiceless consonants the locative hardens (*kitapta* = in the book), but the "too" word never does — *kitap da* = "the book too", always with **d**.
