### Nuanced Affirmations with Double Negation

When critiquing art, film, or theatre, you might want to express a hesitant or balanced opinion. Instead of saying a flat "I like it" or "I don't like it," you can say "It's not that I don't like it..."

In Turkish, this is done using a double negation structure: a **negative finite verb** followed by **değil**. To form this, use a verb in its negative form (most commonly the negative present continuous, ending in **-mıyor** or **-miyor**). The personal suffix indicating who is doing the action attaches to *değil*, not the main verb.
