Advisability (-makta fayda var)

When giving polite, measured advice in professional or consulting contexts, Turkish uses a formula that translates to "there is benefit in doing."

Advisability: -makta fayda var

To recommend an action, combine the infinitive of the verb (-mak / -mek) with the locative suffix (-ta / -te), followed by fayda var (there is a benefit).

Since the infinitive always ends in k, the locative suffix hardens, creating the endings -makta or -mekte.
