Questions & Answers about กว่าจะ วน รถ กลับ มา ได้ ฉัน ก็ หงุดหงิด มาก ค่ะ
How do กว่าจะ and ก็ work together here to show temporal delay?
กว่าจะ (by the time) starts the clause describing the delayed or difficult action (circling the car back). ก็ (then/already) introduces the result clause (feeling frustrated) to show that by the time the first action finally happened, the second situation was already true. It emphasizes the frustrating amount of time or effort it took.
Why do we need กลับมา after วนรถ? Doesn't วน already mean to turn around?
วน means to circle or go around in a loop. Adding the directional verbs กลับ (return) and มา (come or towards the speaker) specifies the result of that circling: bringing the car back to where they needed to be. Thai often strings verbs together to show the full trajectory of an action.
Why is ได้ placed at the very end of the first clause instead of right after วน?
When ได้ means "managed to" or "able to" complete an action successfully, it is placed at the end of the entire verb phrase, including the object (รถ) and directional verbs (กลับมา). It shows that the whole process of "circling the car back" was finally achieved.
Is หงุดหงิด the same as being angry?
Not quite. While โกรธ means strong anger, หงุดหงิด is more about being irritated, annoyed, or grumpy. It perfectly captures that specific feeling of losing patience when stuck in traffic or struggling to turn a car around.
