The result connector (ก็เลย)

To express that one action or event is the natural consequence of another, use the connector ก็เลย (so / therefore).

The Result Connector (ก็เลย)

In Thai, ก็เลย acts like an adverb. It is placed immediately before the verb of the second clause.

Structure: [Cause] + (Subject) + ก็เลย + [Resulting Verb]

If the subject of the second clause is the same as the first, it is usually dropped.

If the second clause introduces a new subject, place ก็เลย directly after it.

Negative Results

For negative results, place ก็เลย directly before the negative word (ไม่ or ยังไม่).

Describing Bad Situations

Use แย่ (bad / terrible) in the first clause to emphasize a highly negative cause.
