Recording a Podcast
In this lesson, we will talk about the duration of time it takes to record (อัด), edit (ตัดต่อ), and release (ปล่อย) a podcast (พอดแคสต์).

Half a...
To express "half a..." something, Thai uses the word ครึ่ง.
When you want to say "half an hour," "half a day," or "half an episode," you place ครึ่ง directly before the classifier or unit of measurement.
| The guest will talk about this matter for half an hour. | แขก จะ คุย เรื่อง นี้ ครึ่ง ชั่วโมง |
Notice in the next example that the word for "episode" (ตอน) also acts as its own classifier.
| If you listen to half an episode, you might not understand. | ถ้า คุณ ฟัง ครึ่ง ตอน คุณ อาจจะ ไม่ เข้าใจ |
...and a Half
When you want to say "one and a half" or "two and a half," the position of ครึ่ง changes. You must state the full number, then the classifier, and place ครึ่ง after the classifier.
For example, "one hour and a half" is structured as หนึ่ง (one) + ชั่วโมง (hour) + ครึ่ง (half).
| We spend one and a half hours preparing the topic. | เรา ใช้ เวลา เตรียม หัวข้อ หนึ่ง ชั่วโมง ครึ่ง |
This pattern applies to any unit of time or measurement, whether you are talking about days (วัน) or minutes (นาที).
| I spend one and a half days editing. | ฉัน ใช้ เวลา ตัดต่อ หนึ่ง วัน ครึ่ง |
| The listeners will hear the music sound for a minute and a half. | ผู้ฟัง จะ ได้ยิน เสียง ดนตรี หนึ่ง นาที ครึ่ง |
