The Continuation Aspect with ต่อ

To express that an action continues, Thai uses the word ต่อ. You can think of it as meaning "to continue" or "to go on doing."

To use it, simply place ต่อ directly after the main verb. If the verb has an object, place ต่อ after the object.

Keeping It Up with ต่อไป

You will also frequently see ต่อไป used to show continuation. While it functions the exact same way as ต่อ, ต่อไป often carries the slightly stronger feeling of "from now on" or keeping up an action indefinitely into the future.

Just like ต่อ, it sits right after the verb or its object.
