Usages of el plazo

La empresa exige que cumplamos el plazo.
The company demands that we meet the deadline.
El director manda que el plazo sea mañana; sin embargo, es imposible.
The director orders the deadline to be tomorrow; however, it is impossible.
Recomiendo que los empleados cambien el plazo.
I recommend that the employees change the deadline.
El comité no anunció un castigo definitivo ni un plazo indefinido.
The committee did not announce a final punishment nor an indefinite period.
El vencimiento es mañana, o sea, el plazo termina pronto.
The expiration is tomorrow, in other words, the deadline ends soon.
