To talk about how you personally perceive or evaluate something based on your own experience, you can use the verb **resultar** (to seem, to find to be, or to turn out).

When used this way, **resultar** works a lot like the verb **gustar**. You pair it with an indirect object pronoun (**me, te, le, nos, les**) to indicate *who* is having the impression.

### Expressing Culture Shock

This structure is extremely common when talking about culture shock or moving to a new country. You can use it to explain how new habits, environments, or ways of interacting strike you.

Notice how the verb form matches the thing you are evaluating. Because these examples evaluate singular nouns or actions, they all use the singular form **resulta**.
