Shortened indefinite adjectives (algún, ningún)

Dropping the "-o"

To talk about "some," "any," or "none," we use the indefinite adjectives alguno and ninguno.

When these words come directly before a masculine singular noun, they drop their final -o and gain an accent mark, becoming algún and ningún.

Answering with "ningún"

When you want to say "none" or "not any" in a full sentence, Spanish uses a double negative. You will put no before the verb and ningún before the masculine singular noun.
