Doing things again with volver a
To say you are doing something again or redoing a task, use the verb volver + a + an infinitive.
| The teacher corrects the exam again. | El profesor vuelve a corregir el examen. |
| I am going to print these files again. | Voy a volver a imprimir estos archivos. |
Giving commands
Volver is a stem-changing verb (o to ue). You'll often hear the informal command vuelve a when someone wants you to fix a mistake.
| You have a mistake, read this text again. | Tienes un error, vuelve a leer este texto. |
| Print the instructions again, please. | Vuelve a imprimir las instrucciones, por favor. |
Pronouns with volver a
When the action involves an object pronoun like lo (it), you can attach it directly to the end of the infinitive.
