Balancing Reviews with "Sin embargo"
When writing a product or service review, you rarely want to be entirely positive or completely negative. To weigh the outstanding features against the disappointing ones, you can use the formal contrastive connector sin embargo (however).
It allows you to introduce a counter-argument, making your reviews more balanced and objective.
| The design is gorgeous; however, the durability is disappointing. |
| I love the design; however, the product is not effective. |
| The price is too high; however, it is recommendable. |
Punctuation Matters
Pay close attention to the punctuation! Because sin embargo connects two complete thoughts, it is usually preceded by a semicolon (;) or a period (.), and it is almost always followed by a comma (,).
| The performance is notable; however, the price is disappointing. |
| The service is really good; however, we must highlight a notable error. |
