Adjectives of insignificance (un ... cualquiera)

Just an ordinary day: "un ... cualquiera"

When you want to emphasize that something is completely ordinary, unremarkable, or "just any" thing, you can place the word cualquiera right after a singular indefinite noun.

un / una + noun + cualquiera

Notice that cualquiera does not change form to match the gender of the noun; it ends in -a for both masculine and feminine words.

It is just an ordinary Tuesday, gray and monotonous.
Es un martes cualquiera, gris y monótono.
I have an ordinary job, gray and repetitive.

An ordinary office has a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy.
Una oficina cualquiera tiene mucho papeleo y burocracia.

The monotony of just any Tuesday is very predictable.
La monotonía de un martes cualquiera es muy predecible.
Maybe an ordinary procedure requires a lot of paperwork.
