The first в in чувство is completely silent. It is pronounced as if it were spelled чуство.
Does сильный (strong) apply to both physical strength and emotions in Russian?
Yes! Just like in English, сильный can describe a physically strong person, a strong wind, or an intense emotion like сильное чувство.
Is Это neuter here to match the neuter noun чувство?
