В мае уже тепло, поэтому мы часто ездим на море.

From Lesson 101:In a month (в)·Russian

Questions & Answers about В мае уже тепло, поэтому мы часто ездим на море.

Why is it в мае instead of в май?
To say 'in a certain month', Russian uses the preposition в followed by the Prepositional case. The dictionary form for May is май. To put it in the Prepositional case, the ending changes to , giving us в мае.
Why use ездим here instead of едем for 'we go'?
Both verbs mean 'to go by transport', but they are used differently. You use едем for a single trip happening right now in one direction. However, this sentence includes the word часто (often), meaning this is a repeated, habitual trip. For repeated or round-trip journeys, you must use the multidirectional verb ездить. Ездим is the 'we' form of this verb.
Why does 'it is already warm' translate just to уже тепло without a word for 'it' or 'is'?
Russian doesn't use dummy pronouns like 'it' to talk about the weather or general conditions. The word тепло acts as the state word meaning 'warm'. Also, because the sentence is in the present tense, the 'to be' verb ('is') is completely left out.
Why is it на море instead of в море when saying 'to the sea'?
While в is normally used for going 'into' places, море (sea) traditionally takes the preposition на when talking about going on a beach holiday or to the coast. (Saying в море would mean physically going into the water or sailing out onto the open ocean). Because this is motion toward a destination, на is followed by the Accusative case. Since море is a neuter noun, its Accusative form looks exactly the same as its dictionary form.
