In legal settings or intense arguments, expressing strong convictions requires specific case government. While English relies on various prepositions ("of", "to", "on"), Russian verbs for accusing, confessing, and insisting use the Prepositional case with either в or на.
Making Accusations
To accuse someone of an action, use обвинять or обвинить. The accusation takes в + the Prepositional case.

Insisting
To insist on something, use настоять. The demand takes на + the Prepositional case.

Swearing Oaths
