Prepositional case modifiers (-ом, -ой)

Describing Locations

When describing a location with an adjective or a possessive pronoun, these modifiers must also match the noun in the prepositional case.

Masculine and Neuter

For masculine and neuter nouns, endings usually change to -ом (or -ем for some spelling rules).

Feminine

For feminine nouns, endings usually change to -ой (or -ей).

Putting It All Together

When describing multiple items in a sentence, make sure each modifier matches the gender of the noun it belongs to.
