Numbers Ending in 5–0
For quantities ending in 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 0, the following noun takes the genitive plural.
This includes single-word numbers (like 10 or 50) and the "teen" numbers (11–19). For compound numbers (like 25 or 38), the last word determines the noun's case.

Units of Measurement
The genitive plural is frequently used with units like percentages (процент) or points (балл).

Counting with Thousands
The word for "thousand" (тысяча) acts as a regular feminine noun. When expressing amounts like "five thousand" or "ten thousand," apply the same rule: тысяча becomes the genitive plural тысяч. The items being counted also take the genitive plural.
