Like many professions in Romanian, there is a masculine form for cashier (casierul) and a feminine form (casiera).
| The cashier counted the money. | Casierul a numărat banii. |
| The cashier put the products in the bag. | Casiera a pus produsele în pungă. |
The cashier will then scan (a scana) your items.
| This product is hard to scan. | Acest produs este greu de scanat. |
Payment Methods
You might pay with a bancnotă (banknote) or în numerar (in cash).
| This banknote is old. | Această bancnotă este veche. |
| The customer paid the amount in cash. | Clientul a plătit suma în numerar. |
Cards and Discounts
Many stores offer a card de fidelitate (loyalty card).
| Do you have a loyalty card? | Aveți card de fidelitate? |
When paying by card, you may be asked to insert (a introduce) your card or enter your PIN (PIN-ul).
| Enter the PIN now, please. | Introduceți PIN-ul acum, vă rog. |
The cashier might also need to validate (a valida) a ticket or discount.
| The cashier validated the discount. | Casiera a validat reducerea. |
