In class
| The students are in the classroom. | Studenții sunt în clasă. |
| The English course is interesting. | Cursul de engleză este interesant. |
Clasa is both the class (the group) and the classroom. At university you go la facultate, and a single lecture or course is cursul. As always after la and în, the noun drops its article: la facultate, în clasă, în pauză.
| My brother studies at university. | Fratele meu studiază la facultate. |
Questions, grades, breaks
| I have a question. | Am o întrebare. |
| I have a good grade on the exam. | Am o notă bună la examen. |
Nota is the grade you get — and, in a restaurant, the bill.
| During the break, I drink a coffee. | În pauză, beau o cafea. |
Finishing
Termina is to finish something. It is a regular -a verb: termin, termini, termină.
| I have to finish the project. | Trebuie să termin proiectul. |
In order to
Ca să + subjunctive gives the purpose — in order to, so that. The verb after it agrees with whoever does it, exactly as after vreau să.
| I study so that I get a good grade. | Învăț ca să am o notă bună. |
| clasa | the class, the classroom |
| cursul | the course, the lecture |
| facultatea | the university, the faculty |
| nota | the grade; the bill |
| întrebarea | the question |
| pauza | the break |
