Falsos amigos e formas europeias
pretender does NOT mean "to pretend" — it means to intend: pretendo mudar de casa = I intend to move. planear is the European form (Brazil says planejar). resultar in everyday EP means "to work": a ideia não resultou — the idea didn't work.
