Stressing
po prostu — simply, just — the most common way to say that there is nothing more to it.
| I simply have no time. | Po prostu nie mam czasu. |
tak naprawdę — actually, in reality — introduces the real state of affairs, often against what was assumed.
| Actually, I don't like fish. | Tak naprawdę nie lubię ryb. |
w ogóle — with nie, not at all; in a question, at all: Czy w ogóle lubisz sport? Its cousin na ogół means generally, on the whole.
| I don't understand this text at all. | W ogóle nie rozumiem tego tekstu. |
| On the whole, Poles eat lunch late. | Na ogół Polacy jedzą obiad późno. |
Softening
właściwie — actually, in fact — corrects or qualifies what you were about to say.
przynajmniej — at least.
| At least it isn't raining. | Przynajmniej nie pada. |
całkiem — quite, fairly before an adjective (całkiem dobry); completely with a verb (całkiem zapomniałem).
In the end
w końcu — finally, at last (after waiting), and also after all when you give a reason: W końcu to nie jest ważne.
| He finally came! | W końcu przyszedł! |
Here is
oto — here is, this is — presents something: Oto mój nowy samochód. It is a particle, not a verb, so nothing is conjugated.
