Approaching with the Prefix "pod-"
The prefix pod- describes moving towards or approaching a target.
Attaching it to a base motion verb creates a perfective verb focusing on the completed action of coming up close to something. Note that before certain consonant clusters, pod- becomes pode- to ease pronunciation.
To state exactly what the subject is approaching, pair these verbs with the preposition do (to) plus a noun in the Genitive case. Let's look at walking up to something (podejść):
