"Let's..." – The First-Person Plural Imperative
In English, we say "Let's..." to suggest doing something together as a group. In Polish, you express this by using the first-person plural imperative.
To form this, add the suffix -my to the basic imperative stem. For example, if the command to one person is zrób (do), "let's do" is zróbmy. If the command is spróbuj (try), "let's try" is spróbujmy.

Suggesting Specific Actions
When suggesting specific, one-time actions, you will typically use a perfective verb. The rule remains exactly the same.
| Let's start the most difficult task today. | Zacznijmy dzisiaj najtrudniejsze zadanie. |
| Let's talk with her tomorrow. | Porozmawiajmy z nią jutro. |
You can easily connect multiple suggestions in one sentence using i (and).
| Let's start the meeting and think together. | Zacznijmy spotkanie i pomyślmy razem. |
| Let's take a break and talk with him. | Zróbmy przerwę i porozmawiajmy z nim. |
| Let's rent a car and change the plan. | Wynajmijmy samochód i zmieńmy plan. |
Negative Suggestions ("Let's not...")
To say "let's not," place nie directly before the imperative verb.
