Saying how sure you are
At A2 you learned na pewno, chyba and być może. B1 discussion needs the stronger and the weaker end of the same scale.
bez wątpienia — without doubt — is the strongest. It is a fixed phrase: bez takes the Genitive, so wątpliwość appears as wątpienia.
| Without doubt this is a good idea. | Bez wątpienia to jest dobry pomysł. |
nie mam wątpliwości — I have no doubt — is the personal version. Add że to say what you are sure of.
| I have no doubt that he is telling the truth. | Nie mam wątpliwości, że on mówi prawdę. |
trudno powiedzieć — hard to say — is the polite way to refuse a verdict. It stands alone as an answer, or introduces an indirect question.
| It is hard to say who is right. | Trudno powiedzieć, kto ma rację. |
Whose view it is
punkt widzenia — point of view. The usual frame is z + Genitive: z mojego punktu widzenia (from my point of view), z punktu widzenia klienta.
| From my point of view this is not a problem. | Z mojego punktu widzenia to nie jest problem. |
Objecting — or not
mieć coś przeciwko — to have something against. In a question it is masz coś przeciwko?; the answer that gives permission is nie mam nic przeciwko (I have nothing against it) — note the double negative, as always in Polish.
| Do you have anything against this plan? | Czy masz coś przeciwko temu planowi? |
brać pod uwagę — to take into account: pod + Accusative, so uwaga becomes uwagę.
| We have to take the minority's view into account. | Musimy brać pod uwagę pogląd mniejszości. |
