We ran out of soap, so I bought a new one.	石せっ鹸けん　が　切きれた　ので、　新あたらしい　の　を　買かいました。sekken ga kireta node, atarasii no wo kaimasita. Note how we're using の here instead of using the word 石せっ鹸けん twice.

soy sauce	醤しょう油ゆsyouyu
This dish needs soy sauce.	この　料りょう理り　に　は　醤しょう油ゆ　が　必ひつ要よう　です。kono ryouri ni ha syouyu ga hituyou desu.
It tastes like soy sauce.	醤しょう油ゆ　の　味あじ　が　します。syouyu no azi ga simasu.
Please add a little soy sauce.	醤しょう油ゆ　を　少すこし　入いれて　ください。syouyu wo sukosi irete kudasai.
near; beside	側そばsoba 側そば is usually written using kana alone as そば, and indicates proximity or nearness to something or someone, without specifying a particular side. 側がわ specifies a particular side or aspect of something. Often used with direction words to indicate specific sides, such as right, left, this side, that side, etc.
He is always by my side.	彼かれ　は　いつも　私わたし　の　そば　に　います。kare ha itumo watasi no soba ni imasu.
I live near the station.	駅えき　の　そば　に　住すんで　います。eki no soba ni sunde imasu.

dress shirt	ワイシャツwaisyatu The term ワイシャツ is derived from the English word white shirt, but in Japanese, it generally refers to any formal dress shirt, not necessarily white.
