To tell time in Japanese you need to learn the counters for hours and minutes. They are 時 and 分, respectively.
Just like with English, you say the time by stating the hour followed by the minute. To ask what time is it, you say, 今何時ですか?. In this lesson, we will start by introducing the counter for hours.
