Usages of yomu

私わたし　は　本ほん屋や　に　行いって、　本ほん　を　買かって、　公こう園えん　で　読よみました。watashi wa honya ni itte, hon o katte, kouen de yomimashita.
I went to the bookstore, bought a book, and read in the park.
私わたし　は　雑ざっ誌し　を　読よんで　います。watashi wa zasshi o yonde imasu.
I am reading a magazine.
お母かあさん　は　新しん聞ぶん　を　読よんで　いる。okaasan wa shinbun o yonde iru.
(Your) mother is reading the newspaper.
