Questions & Answers about Benvenuta, signora!
Why does benvenuta end in -a here?
Does signora mean "madam" or "Mrs."?
Why isn't there a word for "the" (like la) before signora?
When you are talking directly to someone using their title, you drop the definite article (the word for "the"). If you were talking about her to someone else instead of addressing her directly, you would need the article and say la signora.
