### Polite Requests with *Vorrei*

When booking a service or asking for amenities, using the present tense **voglio** (I want) can sound too direct. To make a polite request, Italian uses **vorrei** (I would like), the first-person present conditional form of the verb **volere** (to want).

You can use **vorrei** directly before a noun to politely ask for an item or service. Adding **per favore** (please) makes it even more polite.
