Usages of 〜nakereba
十時 まで に 来られなければ、 会議 に 遅れます。juuji made ni korarenakereba, kaigi ni okuremasu.
If you can’t come by ten o’clock, you will be late for the meeting.
早く 起きなければ、 学校 に 間に合いません。hayaku okinakereba, gakkou ni maniaimasen.
If I don't wake up early, I won't be on time for school.
急行 が 止まらなければ、 次 の 駅 まで 行く。kyuukou ga tomaranakereba, tsugi no eki made iku.
If the express doesn’t stop, I’ll go to the next station.
私 は 無理な 約束 は しない。 時間 が なければ 行ける はず が ない から だ。watashi wa murina yakusoku wa shinai. jikan ga nakereba ikeru hazu ga nai kara da.
I don’t make impossible promises, because if I don’t have time, there’s no way I can go.
宿題 を 出さなければ、 先生 に 注意されます。shukudai o dasanakereba, sensei ni chuuisaremasu.
