• Sur la dua paĝo de la menuo estas viando, sed sur la unua estas nur legomaj pladoj.: On the second page of the menu there is meat, but on the first there are only vegetable dishes.
• Mi havas nur unu demandon.: I have only one question.
• En mia poŝo estas nur kelkaj moneroj.: In my pocket there are only a few coins.
• Kiam mi faras eraron, mia instruistino restas trankvila; ŝi nur diras, ke mi pardonu min mem kaj provu denove.: When I make a mistake, my teacher stays calm; she only says that I should forgive myself and try again.
• Se vi volas sukcesi, vi devas lerni ne nur el libroj, sed ankaŭ el sperto.: If you want to succeed, you must learn not only from books, but also from experience.
• Se la kelnerino ankoraŭ ne alportos la menuon je la sepa, ni mendos nur supon kaj salaton.: If the waitress still does not bring the menu at seven, we will order only soup and salad.
