In English, we say "to look for" something, but the German verb suchen already means "to look for" all by itself. You don't need to add a preposition like für. You just follow suchen directly with the thing you are trying to find.

Why does the German sentence say im (in the) instead of using a word for "on"?

While English speakers talk about being "on" the internet, German treats the internet as an enclosed space or system. Therefore, Germans say they are "in" the internet (im Internet).

Why is it im Internet and not just in das Internet?

The word im is a short combination of in and dem. Internet is a neuter noun (das Internet).
