Questions & Answers about Le projecteur est ici, branche-le-moi !
Why is the order le-moi instead of me-le?
In affirmative commands (telling someone to do something), the order of pronouns changes from normal sentences. The direct object (le, la, les) always comes first, followed by the indirect object (moi, toi, lui, nous, vous, leur). Since le is the direct object (the projector) and moi is the indirect object (for me), it has to be branche-le-moi.
Why do we use moi here instead of me?
Why doesn't branche have an "s" at the end, since it's the "tu" form?
For verbs ending in "-er" (like brancher), the "tu" command form drops the final "s" in the present tense. So while you would say tu branches in a normal sentence, it becomes just branche ! as a command.
Could I say branche-le pour moi instead?
