### The Negative Conditional

To state what you *would not* do, use the negative conditional.

Form this with the conjugated negative verb (*en*, *et*, *ei*, *emme*, *ette*, *eivät*) followed by the main verb's conditional stem (ending in **-isi**). Unlike the affirmative conditional, you **do not** add a personal ending to the main verb.
