### Postpositions with Personal Pronouns

When using a postposition (like *takana*, *edessä*, or *kanssa*) with a personal pronoun, Finnish requires a "sandwich" structure:

- The personal pronoun in the **genitive case** (*minun*, *sinun*, etc.)
- The **postposition** itself
- A **possessive suffix** attached to the end of the postposition, matching the pronoun

### The Possessive Suffixes

Each person has a corresponding suffix that attaches directly to the postposition.

Notice that the third-person suffix usually doubles the final vowel of the postposition and adds an *-n* (e.g., *edessä* becomes *edessään*, *kanssa* becomes *kanssaan*). The singular and plural forms for the third person are identical.
