Questions & Answers about حالا به خانه میروم.
How is the verb میروم built in this sentence?
It follows the standard pattern for present tense verbs: the prefix می (mi-) plus the present stem رو (rav) plus the personal ending -م (-am) for "I". It can mean both "I go" and "I am going".
Where does the stem رو (rav) come from? It doesn't look like the infinitive رفتن (raftan).
In Farsi, the present stem of a verb is often irregular and looks completely different from its infinitive or past tense form. You just need to memorize that رو (rav) is the present stem for the verb meaning "to go".
I don't see the word for "I" (من) in the Farsi sentence. Why was it left out?
Because Farsi verbs always have a personal ending, you can usually leave out the subject pronoun. The ending -م (-am) on میروم already makes it perfectly clear that "I" am the one doing the action.
Why is the word به (be) used before خانه (khāne)? In English we just say "going home" without "to".
In English, "home" can act as a special direction, but Farsi treats خانه just like any other physical place. You must use the preposition به (to) to show movement toward it.
