Questions & Answers about پروژهی دیگر منظم است.
Why is there an extra ی at the end of پروژهی?
In Farsi, when we link a noun to an adjective (like 'project' and 'other'), we use a connecting sound called the Ezafe ('-e' or '-ye'). Because the word پروژه (project) ends in a silent 'h' (which sounds like 'e'), we add the letter ی to write the connecting '-ye' sound. So it becomes پروژهی (porozhe-ye).
Why does دیگر (other) come after پروژهی (project)?
Just like most adjectives in Farsi, دیگر (other) comes after the noun it describes. So instead of saying 'other project' like in English, you structure it as 'project-of other' (پروژهی دیگر).
How is منظم pronounced, and what exactly does it mean?
It is pronounced 'mo-naz-zam'. It means 'organized', 'orderly', or 'regular'. You might notice a slight emphasis or doubling on the 'z' sound when listening to native speakers, which is a common pronunciation feature for words borrowed from Arabic.
Since we are learning about plural demonstratives like اینها (these), could I use one here to say 'These other projects are organized'?
If you want to put 'these' right before the noun, you actually have to use the singular form این! In Farsi, demonstratives before a noun always stay singular, while the noun itself becomes plural: این پروژههای دیگر منظم هستند (these other projects are organized). You only use اینها (these) when it stands completely alone as a pronoun, like 'These are organized' (اینها منظم هستند).
