To talk about life transitions and career shifts, you can mark a continuous new reality using the structure از ... به بعد (from ... onwards).
The Circumposition "از ... به بعد"
To indicate that an action or state lasts continuously after a certain point, use the words از (from) and به بعد (after/onwards). This operates as a circumposition, meaning it wraps around the time or event it modifies.
Place از before the time or event, and به بعد immediately after it.
| From graduation onwards, he is a programmer. | از زمان فارغالتحصیلی به بعد، او یک برنامهنویس است.az zamân-e fâregh-ot-tahsili be ba'd, u yek barnâme-nevis ast. |
| From graduation day onwards, I became interested in this profession. | از روز فارغالتحصیلی به بعد، من به این حرفه علاقهمند شدم.az ruz fâregh-ottahsili be ba'd, man be in herfe alâghe-mand shodam. |
Past, Present, and Future
This structure is flexible. It works just as well for events that started in the past (like an internship) as it does for arrangements that will begin in the future (like starting a new job).
| We decided that from next month onwards, we will hire him full-time. | ما تصمیم گرفتیم که از ماه آینده به بعد، او را تماموقت استخدام کنیم.mâ tasmim gereftim ke az mâh-e âyande be ba'd, u râ tamâm-vaght estekhdâm konim. |
| From tomorrow onwards I am no longer a simple wage earner, but rather I am an entrepreneur. | از فردا به بعد دیگر یک حقوقبگیر ساده نیستم، بلکه کارآفرین هستم.az fardâ be ba'd digar yek hoquq-begir sâde nistam, balke kârâfarin hastam. |
Notice that the structure remains exactly the same whether it introduces a clause at the beginning of the sentence or falls seamlessly in the middle:
| Their interest in entrepreneurship increased from the internship era onwards. | علاقهشان به کارآفرینی از دوران کارآموزی به بعد بیشتر شد.alâqe-shân be kârâfarini az dorân kârâmuzi be ba'd bishtar shod. |
