Expressing Possibility

To talk about things that might happen—like sudden schedule changes on an unpredictable film set—Farsi uses the word شاید (perhaps / might).

Because شاید introduces doubt or uncertainty, it requires the main verb of the clause to be in the Present Subjunctive. This single structure is used to express possibilities for both the present and the future.

Word Order

شاید typically sits at or near the beginning of the sentence or clause. As always in Farsi, the verb (in its subjunctive form) waits at the very end.

Everything else—the subjects (like the makeup artist or sound recordist), the direct objects, and any prepositional phrases—goes in between. Notice how this structure wraps around the rest of the sentence details:
