Counting from 11 to 20
When counting in Farsi, the noun following the number always stays singular.
| There are eleven apples on the table. | یازده سیب روی میز است.yâzdah sib ruye miz ast. |
| There are twelve chairs in the room. | دوازده صندلی در اتاق است.davâzdah sandali dar otâgh ast. |
Expressing Age
To say how old someone is, place the number before ساله (years old), followed by the verb "to be".

| Your son is fifteen years old. | پسر شما پانزده ساله است.pesar-e shomâ pânzdah sâle ast |

Prices and Currency
When shopping, you will hear prices in Farsi's standard currency unit, تومان (Toman). Simply state the number followed by تومان.
