Questions & Answers about Možeš li mi kupiti kruh? Nema problema.
Why is "mi" placed right after "li"?
"Kruh" (bread) is the object being bought. Shouldn't its ending change?
Kruh is in the accusative case here because it is the direct object. However, for masculine nouns that represent non-living things (inanimate nouns), the accusative form looks exactly the same as the base dictionary form. If you were buying an animal, like a dog (pas), the ending would change to psa.
Why does "Nema problema" mean "No problem"? Doesn't "nema" mean "he/she/it doesn't have"?
Why does "problem" have an "-a" at the end in "Nema problema"?
Because of the word nema. Whenever you say "there is no" using nema, the noun that follows must take the genitive case. The noun problem is a masculine word, so its genitive ending is -a, making it problema.
