أتحب تغريد العصفور في الصباح؟atuhibbu taghrida al'usfuri fi assabah

أسمعت دوي الانفجار المفاجئ؟asami'ta dawiyya al-infijâr al-mufâji'
Did you hear the boom of the sudden explosion?
أتفضل الطعام الطازج أم المعلب؟atufaddilu at-ta'âma at-tâzaja ami al-mu'allaba
Do you prefer fresh or canned food?
أفستمحو هذه الذكريات، إلا إذا كانت وهما؟afasatamhû hâdhihi adh-dhikrayâti, illâ idhâ kânat wahman?
Then will you erase these memories, unless they are an illusion?
أوليست هذه مفارقة زمنية ستؤدي إلى دمار الأرض؟awalaysat hâdhihi mufâraqatan zamaniyyatan satu'addî ilâ damâri al-'ardi?
And is this not a temporal paradox that will lead to the destruction of the earth?
أثم نخترق واقعا موازيا من المحتمل أن يقتلنا؟athumma nakhtariqu wâqi'an muwâziyan mina al-muhtamali an yaqtulanâ?
Then do we breach a parallel reality that is likely to kill us?
أفنعتقد أن تشوه الماضي حتمية لا مفر منها؟afanataqidu anna tashawwuha almâdî hatmiyyatun lâ mafarra minhâ?
Then do we believe that the distortion of the past is an inevitability from which there is no escape?
أومن الأفضل أن يختفي كل شيء في العدم؟awa mina al-afdali an yakhtafiya kullu shay'in fi al-'adami?
And is it better that everything disappears into nothingness?
أثم ندرك أننا محونا وهما قديما؟athumma nudriku annanâ mahawnâ wahman qadîman?
Then do we realize that we erased an old illusion?
أوسنواجه هذه المفارقة، إلا إذا كانت حتمية؟awa sanuwâjihu hâdhihi al-mufâraqata, illâ idhâ kânat hatmiyyatan?
And will we face this paradox, unless it is an inevitability?
أفستختفي الشمس في العدم، ناهيك عن دمار الأرض؟afasatakhtafî ash-shamsu fî al-'adami, nâhîka 'an damâri al-'ardi?
Then will the sun disappear into nothingness, let alone the destruction of the earth?
أثم تكتشف مريم تشوها في مسار مواز؟athumma taktashifu maryamu tashawwuhan fi masârin muwâzin
Then does Maryam discover a distortion in a parallel path?
أونستطيع أن نخترق هذا العدم؟awa nastatîu an nakhtariqa hâdha al-adama?
And can we breach this nothingness?
أفستمنع هذه المفارقة دمارنا، إلا إذا تأخرنا؟afasatamna'u hâdhihi al-mufâraqatu damâranâ, illâ idhâ ta'akhkharnâ?
Then will this paradox prevent our destruction, unless we are late?
أوتبدو حتمية هذا التشوه كأنها وهم؟awa tabdū hatmiyyatu hâdhâ t-tashawwuhi ka'annahâ wahmun?
And does the inevitability of this distortion seem as if it is an illusion?
أثم تمحو هذه الآلة أي خطأ زمني؟athumma tamhû hâdhihi l-âlatu ayya khata'in zamaniyyin?
Then does this machine erase any temporal mistake?
أفتريدين أن نخترق واقعا موازيا؟afaturîdîna an nakhtariqa wâqi'an muwâziyan?
Then do you want us to breach a parallel reality?
أنا في حيرة، أهذا صواب أم إثم؟ana fî hayratin, ahâdhâ sawâbun am ithmun?
I am in confusion, is this right or a sin?
