Calling for Help
In an emergency, you might need to request a police patrol (دورية) or call for general rescue (نجدة). When describing the incident, you can state that the situation is critical (حرج).

Medical Assistance
When medical professionals arrive, a paramedic (مسعف) will treat the injured. In severe cases, they may need to perform life-saving resuscitation (إنعاش).

Urgent Actions
Emergency situations often require a direct intervention (تدخل) or a complete evacuation (إخلاء). When actions cannot wait, they are described as immediate (فوري).
Remember that adjectives like فوري must agree in gender with the noun they describe, taking the form فورية when modifying a feminine noun.

Official Reports and Distress Calls
To officially notify authorities of an incident like a traffic accident, file a report (بلاغ). For urgent, life-threatening scenarios, send a distress call or signal (استغاثة).
