2.1 - Possessives

Personal pronounsSingularPlural
First personongon (my)ongonae
Second person formalinan (your)inanae (y'all's)
Second person informalintan (my)chan (y'all's)
Third persontpinan (his/her/its)chan (their)
Third person okanujang (his/her/its)ujae (their)

Typically, making a possessive is just the masculine form of the pronoun + “an”. In the case of the plural 2nd inf, 3rd, and 3rd okan, the exceptions take place. Aside from these, singular + ae makes a plural possessive.

Because TingLing is an ADJ-Noun language, it’s more of “pencil my” than “my pencil,” and “chair y’all’s”.

Forming a question in TingLing is as simple as adding “naeo” to the end of a statement. If you wanted to ask “Does he play sports?” You just use “He plays sports” + naeo.
