Turkish may come off as an odd language from time to time. Because it is.

We use words like "kesin" (certainly) even though the sentence is about probabilities. We like to be absolute about stuff I guess.

The "karnı" part is conjugated according to the subject. For example:

Karnım acıktı. I got hungry.

Karnınız acıktı mı? Did you get hungry? (Are you all hungry?)

(Apparently) The kid probably got hungry and then (probably) went out to eat food.
